Lois Durham papers, 1938-2007.

Correspondence, photographs, oral history transcript, flight instruments, official military records, news clippings, videotapes, and several scrapbooks, including one created at Doane College, Nebraska. The bulk of the collection pertains to Durham's experiences in the Women Airforce Service Pilots of WWII, including training at Avenger Field, Sweetwater, Texas, and her assignment to the Ferry Division at Romulus Army Air Base. Items include photographs, flight instruments, a foot locker, identification cards, and her pilot log book.

Aviator and member of the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP) of WWII, class of 43-W-7. A native of Omaha, Nebraska and a graduate of Doane College (1943) in political science. After the war, Durham also worked as a personnel officer for the Department of Defense, joined the Air Force Reserve, and later worked for the Internal Revenue Service.
